Exceptional service
Once again I engaged the services of the Corporate legal team in the Chelmsford Ellisons office to support the sale of my business in March 2024. Abigail and her team were extremely supportive and professional as always. Throughout the whole process I was kept fully informed and received detailed and clear advice and guidance.

Selling your business- the legals
Selling your business you've spent years building is a stressful and scary prospect- you'll probably only do it once and you want it done right. Having a good legal team to guide you through the process is an absolute necessity. We found the commercial team at Ellisons to be personable, professional and very helpful through this unique (to us) period of time. Tight time scales and a wide range of issues, from lease legalities, commercial property sale issues, and sensitive commercial information about your business, there are a lot of hurdles to jump to get to an end goal. We were glad we chose Paul and his team at Ellisons, they worked diligently and professionally to lead us to the best result for us.

Excellent support and service
I worked with Abigail during the share sales of my business which completed in early 2023. Abigail was extremely supportive and thorough throughout the whole process where she worked with me to ensure I had the best advice and guidance during the sale.
Having not carried out a share sale before I knew very little about the process and contracts. Abigail recognised this and was there 24/7 to answer my many questions and didn't make me feel silly at all.
I would highly recommend working with Abigail.

EMI Scheme and new articles of association
All good - very clear and relatively straightforward (given the complexity of the situation). Abligail took over well after Paul F laid the parameters.

Purchase of an existing business, Oranges & Lemons Cafe
Employing a legal firm us expensive but needed when buying a business as we were. We needed a solicitor to assist with the purchase of an existing cafe/retail shop business, incl goodwill & stock and also covering the tfr of existing staff under TUPE.
Abigail wasn’t the solicitor responsible for our case, in fact without looking it up I can’t remember her name as we had virtually no dealings with her. Our point of contact was Abigail and we found her a pleasure to work with. She was tenacious in her approach in dealing with a solicitor on the sellers side who seemed to be absent from the process for long periods and at one point constantly denied the receipt of documentation. The APA from the sellers side was useless and Abigail pretty much had to rewrite it from scratch.
Abigail listened, was available throughout and came back to us when she said she would. I would recommend her as an individual. Thank you Abigail.

Share Sale Agreement Documentation
The transaction was handled by Abigail Williamson with considerable diligence and skill and above all in a timely and friendly manner - it was a great success and I was very pleased that she was tasked to respond to my request for assistance in this matter.

Share Agreement Documentation
Although long, the document preparation was considering many scenarios. Ellisons worked with us to produce and explain each part.
A thorough support.
