Review update - 5 Stars

If I have been impressed with a business I do take the time to write a review but only the one.
I am so impressed with the consistently high level of service I have received from Nash & Co that I am now submitting my third review!
Over the years I have used Nash & Co for Wills, probate, selling a house, buying a house, selling my shares in a business and most recently, inheritance.
In particular, I would highly recommend David Cornelius and Amy Douch. Their professionalism, knowledge, skill, interest, friendliness plus availability is outstanding. At no time have I felt hurried and I have always felt confident to ask for clarification when things were not clear to me.
As I previously wrote, this is my third review and I have taken time to write it because I wanted to highlight the consistently high standard of service - thank you David and Amy.
When I use Nash & Co I am confident that my matter is in the best (and safe) hands. (I am not related to any member of staff!)

Help with family Trust following demise of McClures (Glasgow)

5

Absolutely first class advice and guidance on family trust and title deed of house. This follows the failure of McClures solicitors in 2021, leaving thousands of McClures clients in distress. Excellent and speedy service at a really reasonable fee. (I know this as I have spent considerable time researching service and costs from other solicitors, before choosing Nash & Co.).

Family Protection Trust

5

After a serious fall where I realised my mother would need some care for the foreseeable future, I took a look at documents relating to a Family Trust both my parents set up a number of years prior. After making some further enquiries, I was shocked to find that that McClures the solicitors they had used to create this Trust had gone into administration some years prior. Not knowing how my mother stood legally
( sadly dad no longer with us), I began to complete some research and came across Amy Douch at Nash& Co,who had clearly helped another client in the same position some time earlier. Having contacted Amy and after discussing our predicament, she emailed me a clear outline of what needed doing and the associated costs. She also kindly guided us to what parts of the process we might complete ourselves to minimise costs. We are now nearing the end of the process. I have had my faith restored in solicitors. Amy has answered all of our questions promptly, kept us fully informed as the process took place, and has completed the task promptly and professionally. I would certainly use Amy again and recommend her to anyone who finds themself in this ghastly predicament.
Thank you Amy!

Sorting Out a Family Protection Trust

5

We contacted Nash & Co after seeing an internet post by Amy Douch re helping clients of McClures who had gone into administration in 2021 leaving thousands of clients with Family Protection Trusts not knowing what to do next or where they stood legally. Amy was brilliant and summarised our phone call in a letter mapping out options and attendant costs so that we were able to make sensible and informed decisions about what to do next. She outlined those things that we could do ourselves both to save money and ensure that her professional input was used for the right activities. We ahave completed the first stage of this process but have every confidence that the following stages will be approached as efficiently and promptly as the first.

Thank you so much John, for such a fantastic review. We are so sorry that you found yourselves in the position that you did with McClure Solicitors. It's such a horrible mess for everyone who have found themselves in similar positions. Amy and the team are over the moon with your comments and feedback, and we're so pleased that you're happy with everything that Amy's done for you and the client service standards too. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us the comments, and hope that you find yourselves in a much better position with a much brighter future ahead. Thank you again, all the very best

Amy was extremely thorough and professional, right from the start. She made sure that we understood everything that was going into our Wills. There was never a time that we didn't feel in very professional and caring hands. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her.

Professional service

5

Very swift and professional service. Amy Douch was excellent and always on hand to provide advice. New Wills for my wife and I, in a few very short weeks compared to two months previously with another firm. If you want a fast and professional service, consider using this firm. The service really was first rate and would use them again without any hesitation.

Many thanks to Amy Douch today. Myself and my elderly mum met with Amy in relation to the completion of a Trust Property Transfer. Amy was extremely knowledge, professional, and very supportive throughout the meeting. Offering additional help with the forms I had previously completed, which was very much appreciated. Thank You Amy. This is my third encounter with Nash & Co, and I would not hesitate to recommend their services, especially in relation to the Wills & Trust section.

Amy Douch helped to sort out a Family Protection Trust set up by McClures and ensure that the trust is back in our hands and the property no longer controlled by McClures directors. She was professional, made the process stress free and kept us informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend her and Nash & Co.

A commendation to Amy Douch of Nash & Co Solicitors.
Following the discovery of the demise of McClure Solicitors who we had entrusted to place our home into a property protection trust, we found ourselves in a highly stressful situation. All of our trust paperwork had been passed to another company Jones Whyte who had totally failed to contact us over a 2-year period since they took on this obligation.
Research on the internet thankfully led us to contact Amy Douch of Nash Solicitors in Plymouth. Our initial telephone call to Amy in January 2024 to discuss our situation was the first step to a resolution and removal of some of the stress and pressure we were under.
Amy clearly summarised our situation and options to resolve the issues. She provided all the details and costs via email within 24 hours. She clearly detailed what we must do, such as retrieval of all our documentation from Jones Whyte and property valuation information that would be required later in the process. In addition, a clear scale of charges was presented, and we can confirm that these were accurate with no hidden or nasty surprises. Invoices for work completed were presented at each stage.
Furthermore, she advised on tasks that we could complete ourselves to save money which was extremely helpful and much appreciated.
We have found Amy to be most professional and diligent in her approach and a real expert in property trust issues. Great communication and always easy to contact, she has been highly responsive to email requests and calls as we have progressed.
We are very happy that we put our trust in Amy and she has kept that trust throughout the process, which is now completed.
I would recommend her services without hesitation. A 5 star review for a 5 star service.

Having become aware of being one of the victims of the McClures administration.
Myself and sisters started to research into what we needed to do. When I contacted a solicitor locally they wasn’t interested one bit. My sister found Nash Solicitors on the FB page (Victims of McClures) with a list of other solicitors. I rang Nash and was forwarded to Amy Douch. How nice it was to be speaking to someone who knew all about it and what needed to be done.
Right from the off Amy told us exactly what the fixed price would be for the work involved. Obviously this will be different for everyone depending on the circumstances of the trust. We were fortunate that ours only involved our parent’s property. I phoned and emailed Amy on several occasions knowing they were all inclusive of the price. No hidden extras after the event. We first contacted Amy on the 11 December 2023 and both trusts were amended and completed by the 19 April 2024. I am now in the process of registering the trusts which Amy said she could do at a charge but I could register them myself for free and if I had any questions just to contact her. Which I have.
The service, the speed and kindness which Amy has given us in a situation we had no knowledge of has been wonderful. If you find you have become a victim then I highly recommend Nash and Amy to help you.
They have been honest and transparent throughout the whole process.
Thank you for helping us in what could have been an extremely stressful situation.

Wow, Avril, what a fantastic review and 5 stars to come into after a Bank Holiday! Amy and the team are over the moon to hear your comments and incredibly kind feedback. We're so pleased that Amy was able to help you, and that you found everything to be clear, transparent, no hidden costs, and that you found Amy to be so good with you. The whole situation with McClure Solicitors is such a horrible mess, and we're having to help so many people out of the situations that they find themselves in. We honestly can't thank you enough for your comments, they mean the world to us. Thank you so much Avril, all the very best for the future.
