Excellent Solicitor - Victoria
An excellent service from start to completion with Victoria. A difficult case with a non responsive Management Company that Victoria chased relentlessly. Fully updated throughout. Victoria went above and beyond on this case as I'm sure she would on all her cases.

Went above and beyond
Dealt with Victoria and the team for the sale of our property and purchase of our new home. The team was extremely professional and kept on top of everything throughout the process. The process was extended due to matters outside of our control, and Victoria got this back on track and through before the end of the stamp duty holiday. This allowed us to complete both the sale and purchase on the same day. They always had time for me on the phone and I felt like a priority. Very impressed with everyone we dealt with and would recommend to anyone for conveyancing.

Don’t return calls and can’t work to deadlines
I got core legal to be my conveyance solicitor for my right to buy of my council house.
At first everything seemed great for them to get my business until everything was in there hands.
I started the process in November 17th 2018 as I’m writing this it is 14th June 2019.
The final reports got completed the beginning of April they told me another 2 weeks and I would be complete.
The 2 weeks came I called back and explained my mortgage offer would run out in May, the assured me not to worry and it would be complete before the offer would run out.
Then they stopped returning my calls, I eventually got in touch with them Tuesday the 21st of May with just 1 week until my mortgage offer ran out they stated my my final paper work was in there post room, I felt like they were cutting it fine but happy it was on the way, Thursday came no post they didn’t return my call Friday came no post the didn’t return my call then it was bank holiday weekend, I called the Tuesday got through to someone they said they would post it again I said no I will come to the office and sign. In this meeting they guaranteed to me and my wife it would complete on the Monday the 3rd and there would be no need for an extension as Halifax would transfer the funds Friday the 31st the deadline for my mortgage offer.
Monday the 3rd of June I get a phone call from core legal stating they’ve been in touch with Halifax they have agreed to extend the mortgage offer and that it would complete Monday the 10th not happy but nothing I could do, I took there word for it.
Monday the 10th came I emailed my mortgage advisor to make sure everything went ahead ok he told me my offer was still valid and was waiting for core legal to contact them, so I contacted core on Monday they didn’t return my call, I called again on the Tuesday this time I got through for them to tell me I had to reapply for my mortgage as the offer had expired I was confused by this as it was core legal who told me on Monday the 3rd it had been extended as they had been in touch with them and my mortgage advisor stating it had been extended and was waiting for core legal, the lady told me she would contact the Halifax that day Tuesday 11th I asked her to contact me that day to let me know what went on she didn’t contact me that day.
I called the Wednesday the secretary told she was in a meeting with a client this was approximately 10am I tried again at 1pm she was in another meeting with a client I explained to the secretary I was also a client could she not of called me in between meeting’s she never returned my call.
Friday came as I’m writing this I was sick of them blaming other people so I contacted my council whom I’m buying the house off they told me everything was in place and could complete on Monday they also sent me an email of everything between the solicitors and timings of what had gone on before basically saying all the delays are down to core legal I also contacted my mortgage advisor, for them to tell me what core legal told me on Monday the 3rd and that they were just waiting for core legal to get in touch. I then contacted core legal the girl I spoke on the Tuesday had gone on holiday so I ended up speaking to the girl who had told me I was going to be a priority 2 month ago I’m waiting for my call back.
Core legal might be the cheapest about but cheap ain’t always best I feel like they’ve forb me off for months don’t return calls this is s big thing for me and my wife.
