Advice and Communication after the sale POOR
Advised to do xyz after the sale/purchase didn't complete on time as a claim for compensation could be made. Since then no Communication has been received despite repeated emails to the solicitor.

Knowledgeable, professional and thorough
I had not worked previously with Hansells; they were recommended to me. I found the people I dealt with directly to be friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. At times I got a bit frustrated because I felt it was taking too long to get things done; I also found it difficult on occasions to get anybody to answer the phone. Overall though, they did a good job for us and when something unexpected arose in the course of our transaction, they got on to it quickly and got comprehensive answers to address our concerns. I will work with this Solicitor again.

Always a great service
My partner and I have used Hansells twice now when buying and selling our home and plan to use them again on our next house purchase. Everyone there is very helpful especially Diane Baker, Gemma Murrell and Emma Duffield who were always efficient and on hand to answer any question we had. They made the process easy and stress free

Help with House Sale
I was able to get the work of selling my house and garden ( which were home for 66 years) done in time to meet the needs of both me and the buyer.

House move
This is the second time I have used Hansells and both times have been great! Thankyou to Gemma and Diane for helping each step all the way through. There was times where responses could have been quicker we would often find out more of our mortgage advisor. But over all I would definitely recommend to anyone! Thanks again for all your help.

Purchase of old family home from brothers/Father’s will
Very pleasant and approachable although the process went on for longer than I expected.
This was however not a straightforward affair and was complicated by the involvement of a difficult family member.
I felt comfortable discussing any issues with Gemma which I think is important.
Although this part of resolving my father’s will is over, the process is not yet complete and will involve the services of Lauren Cotton again to help us.
It would have helped to know in advance that Gemma would be dealing with this side of things and there seemed to be a delay in getting started with the purchase. Overall though I am very pleased and it will take the time it takes.

Accurate but slow
I have had very good experiences of the firm previously, but this time a property transaction that did not involve buying and selling, but was a transfer of ownership after a trust was wound up (efficiently by another part of the firm) took much longer than anticipated. It would have been a better experience if messages about the delays had been sent, rather than me asking several times about progress. Sometimes attachments were missing from e-mails and had to be asked for. The contrast with the experience of four previous property transactions, some part-handled by the same person, was marked. On the other hand, the person I dealt with was courteous, pleasant and apologetic for delays.
