Alex specialises in all areas of private family law work, including relationship breakdown, divorce, financial settlements and children arrangements. A member of Resolution, she is also a committed member of the Young Resolution committee.
She has particular expertise in providing advice in respect of high net worth divorces involving complicated financial issues, including businesses and pensions, which can be one of the most significant assets in a marriage. She uses her unique breadth and depth of experience from her 4 years of practice as a Pensions lawyer to enable her to provide effective advice in this complex area.
Alex deals with pre-marriage issues including pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and disputes arising between cohabitees. She also has significant experience acting for clients with international and religious elements including both Islamic and Jewish divorce.

First class client service from start to finish
Alex Goldrein was my main point of contact from start to finished during my divorce. I chose Alex for her direct but friendly approach and we quickly built a strong working relationship. Alex did not overly correspond and got the balance of interaction with me spot on throughout our 18 months of dealings.
From the outset, Alex proactively advocated mediation for my case until this was rejected by the other side. After recommending an excellent barrister, we were able to create and submit a fair and balanced, without prejudice offer framed in current and relevant case law. Furthermore, Alex recommended a private FDR hearing process which accelerated the process and ultimately resulted in an outcome that was inline with my original without prejudice offer.
Alex has a strong legal mind, which is framed in the current and relevant direction of the institution of divorce law. She has been constantly available and supportive through this difficult time and has ultimately achieved an outcome that is very similar, if not better, than she articulated at the start of process. Brilliant, Fantastic & World Class
I am very grateful that Alex dealt with my complex child arrangements case.
She is extremely astute, honest and passionate. She fought very hard to achieve the outcome I wished for. Alex supported me in the most difficult and stressful situation of my life.

Excellent support through a difficult process
I would absolutely recommend Alexandra Goldrein from Slater Heelis to anyone going through a difficult divorce. Alex is very thorough in her approach, and very responsive, and she would always call me straight back when I had a question. She is also very compassionate and understanding and supported me through what became a very trying and upsetting process, explaining things clearly and honestly, and supporting me emotionally. She also checked in with me after the FDR and after the decree absolute to make sure I was OK and I genuinely felt that she did her very best for me. Alex changed law firms halfway through the process and I chose to follow her to Slater Heelis as I could not imagine dealing with anybody else. If I ever need a solicitor again, Alex would be my go-to person.

Divorce case Excellent service
Absolutely fantastic service from the beginning to the end, right from my initial phone call enquiry. I felt so comfortable talking with Alex. She made my case seem as important to her as it was to me which made you feel well looked after and cared about. Sometimes I would even text her questions/queries late at night and there would be a reply waiting for me in the morning. Alex also quickly realised that I didn't quite understand all the legal language that solicitors use and would talk to me in words and terms that were simple for me to understand. I can't speak highly enough of Slater and Heelis and obviously imparticularly Alex Goldrein. Thank you for all you did for me

I have been incredibly fortunate to have Alexandra Goldrein acting as my lawyer. Divorce is never going to be easy, and being in lockdown/the pandemic added to the difficulty. Alex was a tower of strength and support to me during this time, and I genuinely would have struggled without her help.
