Avoid this awful law firm, particularly if you're purchasing/selling your property. This firm caused a number of problems with my transaction from start to finish.
The main issue was on completion date. My other solicitor completed the sale of my property early in the morning and sent funds straight to PM Law (Team Speller) as expected.
It took me all day to get in touch with PM Law and it wasn't until late in the afternoon that I found they'd made a complete and utter mess of the transaction. Within the space of one hour, they told me that they'd received too much money, and then they told me that they hadn't received enough money before then telling me that they didn't think they'd received any money before finally confirming that they had actually received the money all along. It took until 4.55pm for them to confirm money had been sent for my purchase. Their complete incompetence to simply send to some money to another solicitor left us in a position where we were told to find a hotel for the weekend as the purchase was unlikely to go through.
If that wasn't bad enough, I spent weeks after chasing them asking for them to confirm the transactions which took place and return any excess funds to me. They've finally confirmed that they've been holding on to extra money from my transaction and said they'd send it to my bank account. Several weeks have passed since then, I've chased them constantly and not had a single response from them since. I'm now left out of pocket and with the only option of raising the complaint directly with the Legal Ombudsman and SRA.
Conveyancing firms tend to get a bad reputation, however I have used several in the past and I can honestly say that this one goes out of it's way to provide the worst possible service it can - wish I'd read the reviews before instructing them as seems like others have had similar experiences - but at least they're consistently bad I suppose...

Nearly lost the house I was buying!
At first, they were great. All of a sudden I found out that the sellers solicitors hadn’t had any contact with mine for over two weeks, they weren’t answering emails or calls.
Phoned up and found out that my solicitor went off sick and they failed to replace her.
When they finally found a replacement, they lacked in contact, couldn’t get ahold of them on the main phone lines or by email and ‘forgot’ to send over 2 of the contracts.
I nearly lost the property 3 times all together because of lack of communication even though I rang up everyday for updates.
A lovely man called Connor fixed it all for me and managed to get everything sorted within 2 days after months of waiting!

Poor start excellent finish
My first solicitor left the firm and no one told me they were even putting me through to her ext!! No one was monitoring her emails. Almodt lost the property When eventually four weeks later a new solicitor came along the experience was amazing Melissa edwards completed the process in 9 days just amazing.the phone system is a joke goes from bring number 1 to over 50 in the queue.I did stay on the line and this happens everytime. Reception staff answer the call immediately but all they can do is put you in the queuebe very very cautious with this firm unless you are allocated Melissa can't thank her enough

Cheap is not always best
I went with PM Lawyers to save some money and regretted it, pay a bit more to get a good service. They kept loosing paperwork, you cannot speak to anyone as your in a queue for hours. When you do get through they fob you off by saying person you want to speak to is at lunch or busy they will call you back but they never do, believe me they are not worth using unless you want sleepless nights and worry

Super fast and efficient service
My mortgage adviser recommended PM Property Lawyers (PMPL) after my previous solicitor wasted more than two months of my purchase time. PMPL was instructed end of May and my file was allocated to Team Speller around mid-June. Hannah was such a dedicated, diligent, responsive and efficient lawyer. She would even send reports to me on weekends. The purchase completes at the speed of light. We completed before end of July. That is, it took Hannah approximately 7 weeks to complete the case. The total time I spent from instructing PMPL to completion is just 9 weeks. It was a great value for money as well. Based on my, I highly recommend PMPL.

Mortgage Application
Not smooth sailing experience there were clauses from the seller that I couldn't quite understand. Lack of attention to detail on my part and PM Layers that mortgage application with the Bank expired without both parties unaware.
