Throughout the process, our contact, John Robson, was available for calls and responded promptly to emails with responses to all the questions we had. There was one occasion when our buyer's solicitor was holding up the whole process but we were able to overcome the hurdles through open and constructive communications aided by John and his colleagues.

Solicitor review
4 WEEKS from acceptance of offer to exchange of contracts on a house purchase…UNBELIEVABLE. We complete on our new home on 16/12/24 and will be in for Christmas. We were told to expect 10-12 weeks at the outset. Milners Solicitors were great throughout the process. My family has worked with them and Mr John Robson a few times now and I would recommend them to anyone buying or selling a home in North Yorkshire.

Another perfect job!
We don’t move home very often, but when we do, John Robson and his team have always been there for us all the way through the transaction. Nothing is too much trouble, and John’s client care is second to none.

Excellent Service
I was extremely pleased with the level of service and attention received from Milners Solicitors. I am 91 and the prospect of going through the conveyancing was daunting but Milners kept me informed of every step throughout the process

Poor client-relationship management, off-loads bureaucracy to client
Repeated instructions to this company led to repeated paperwork by juniors as though I was a new client with each instruction. Inefficient and bureaucratic with poor continuity in their client-relationship management, likely because it reduces the bureaucratic burden on them at the cost of increasing effort by the client. A simple reorganisation of their instruction-procedures in favour of clients’ interests would make a difference. This is a common failing in lawyers who don’t understand the importance of client-relationships, as I experienced in over a decade's work in forensic medicine. The lawyer himself is pleasant and effective.

In order to meet our SRA requirements, each and every new transaction requires us to send you a Client Care Letter which clients need to sign and return, and we have to send our terms and conditions for each new matter. Where we can, for example with ID checks, we will avoid unnecessary duplication and be able to use such on any new files. Thank you for your positive comments regarding the effectiveness of our lawyer, it is much appreciated.
