LPA assistance
My husband and myself went to Blackhurst Budd for Power of Attorney documents to be taken out, we had already had our wills done by them so it seemed no problem to use them again and we're glad that we did. They are consumate professionals in all their work, everything went seamlessly. They answered all our questions in a manner we could understand and in a polite and friendly way. We would have no hesitation in using them again.

Snape Probate and Conveyancing
Overall, we had a really positive experience with Ian and Kayleigh. They were always professional, but at the same time friendly and helpful. I also felt they did a great job of making things easy to understand for "non-legals". I'd definitely recommend them.
Of course the length of time it takes for an executor to settle the affairs can be frustrating, and much of that is out of the hands of the solicitors, but I would like to offer a couple of points where I think my experience would have been improved. Before that I want to stress these are minor compared to the overall experience and satisfaction.
A) The building society took an unreasonable amount of time to assess the accounts, which was a big contributory factor to the overall duration. I think a more proactive effort to chase this would have heled.
B) On a number of occasions there was a lack of internal coordination between the probate and conveyancing departments, leading to confusion, frustration and unnecessary admin. I think this could be improved.
C) For me, it would have been helpful if the sequence of events for managing the estate had been laid out more clearly from day 1. It's not something that I've ever dealt with before, and it would have been helpful to see a simple explanation or diagram outlining the process.

Very happy with the overall process. Initial direct contact with the solicitor was helpful. The online process thereafter satisfactory.
