Good, professional advice
I engaged Crane and Staples to assist me in dealing with a rogue builder who was doing a large project at my home in 2022 and had invoiced me for works not performed. I had refused to pay his final invoice as the amounts were spurious after which the builder in question became quite unpleasant, referring the invoice to a debt collector, resulting in a court letter. Michael and his team were a pleasure to deal with, dealing very effectively with the debt collector and their legal team, offering pragmatic and practical advice which resulted in a satisfactory outcome for me and avoided the necessity of going to court. I would not hesitate to use Crane & Staples again.

Review of severance agreement - clearly explained
Review of severance agreement. Michael went through the whole document with me, explained the technical details, agreed on some amendments to ensure clarity. He responded to my company and challenged when changes were not made following his review. Although my case was very straightforward and the changes were not critical, I felt that if more had been needed he would ensure if was done promptly and correctly on my behalf. I felt very well represented

Great Service
Michael helped me with my settlement agreement from my redundancy with a previous employer. He was very approachable, quick, professional and had a great eye for detail. He spotted inconsistencies in the agreement which were corrected.
I would always be grateful for his efficient work.

SO efficient and knowledgeable!
I recently had the good fortune to deal with the very excellent Michael Scutt who was recommended to me by another solicitor firm.
I required detailed employment advice on a very delicate matter, that needed to be concluded in a VERY short period of time.

Efficient and clear
I engaged Michael go help me navigate a complex contract, and he did so efficiently and clearly, making the unfamiliar language used in the contract nice and clear. He was additionally helpful in pointing out where a clause was standard procedure and when it wasn’t
