Complicated Divorce
After leaving a toxic, traumatic marriage, I started this process at rock bottom, believing I was worthless and not entitled to anything.
Laura Mounsey has been amazing, she’s a true professional, communicating with empathy but applying her logical thinking and no-nonsense attitude; she’s a real inspiration. Laura Martin has also been brilliant, with her friendly, reassuring and calming manner. Between them, they have not only secured me a great settlement but also helped me to regain my confidence and strength.
Having read some other reviews, I would agree HFL are probably not the cheapest of options but I can now look forward to the future and that’s thanks to the two Laura’s and the rest of the team. Although my journey is not quite over, I am slowly getting my life back and I know I am in safe hands - for that peace of mind, it is definitely worth it.

Childcare issues
Laura helped me with a complicated and contentious situation, regarding child maintenance and disability benefits being withheld by my ex wife. She wrote a low conflict letter to try and resolve the situation, and whilst not completely over, I'm happy I have a path forward with the situation.

Recommended for Divorce
During my divorce I have been expertly guided and supported by Laura Mounsey and her wonderful team at Harrogate Family Law. There have been many times I felt overwhelmed by the situation. Each time Laura's calm presence has guided me to think about things carefully, whenever I was about to make a decision I would have later regretted. I wholeheartedly recommend Laura, and the HFL team while I have navigated a very difficult personal time. Having this team with me has made the divorce process much calmer and certainly fairer than it would otherwise have been without her on my side.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I approached hfl after a nationwide search to find a lawyer who actually understood an very complex situation. From the start, Laura mounsey is friendly, empathetic, clearly very knowledgeable and probably most importantly not afraid to say stuff like
"If i was your friend id want you to do x, but im not, im.your solicitor, and you need to do y.
Not the cheapest but they never pretend that they are.
Thoroughly recommend( in fact i already have recommended a friend ages ago)
Cant understand how someone could take issue with lauras beautiful dog.( in another review...)
