Anna has practiced in family law for over two decades and has worked at Barcan+Kirby since 1998. She became the firm’s Managing Partner in April 2025. She specialises in supporting and helping separating or divorcing couples and parents who cannot agree arrangements for their children. Whilst Anna actively promotes a conciliatory approach to family disputes and encourages clients to focus on the long-term solution, there are times when agreement cannot be achieved and court proceedings are necessary. In these circumstances, Anna is an experienced litigator and can represent clients in court calmly and confidently. She approaches court applications sensibly and encourages fair agreements throughout. Anna is a trained collaborative professional, an accredited member of the Law Society Family Panel and Resolution Accredited Specialist. She is cited as a ‘Key Lawyer’ in Legal 500 UK 2023. In addition to being a Board member, Anna has overall responsibility for the HR and Marketing teams, and Heads of Department.
