Mark was called to the Bar as a barrister in 1997 and obtained dual qualification as a solicitor in 2001 after joining Cartwright King Solicitors’ fraud team. He spent over 15 years ranked in the Legal 500 as a top fraud lawyer but also covered many high profile and complex regulatory cases, as well as conducting advocacy on numerous general crime matters. Excellent service
I approached Mark after receiving a minded to bar letter and he helped me with making representation. I was extremely anxious on receipt of the letter and he helped by putting me at ease and taking full control. He was non judgemental extremely professional and very thorough with his work.
I truly believe that if I had made my own representations then the outcome would have been very different. I'm happy to say that I received a non action letter and can now move on from my ordeal and concentrale on the job that I love doing most.

Clear and reassuring guidance
I was offered clear guidance, supported through the process and the outcome achieved was as hoped. The service was polite and courteous with reassuring support throughout the process. The process was done in a timely and orderly manner with everything co-ordinated for me and this as efficient and effective.

Thank you for supporting me
I recently approached Richard Nelson solicitors for a service in relation to my name being placed on a barred list by DBS, and I couldn’t be more impressed with way my case was handled and the quality of service that I received from the start.
I first spoke with a lovely lady of whom her name has escaped me (I’m truly sorry), who arranged a call back for me.
Mark Hopwell explained how my case will be dealt with. For example, Mark asked me to send all relevant documents relating to the case, and after which he arranged 90 minutes for discussion with me over the phone. Somehow, the discussion went over the 90minutes slot, but Mark didn’t mind. Mark handled all the representations and involved me throughout.
What stood out for me was their professionalism. They are very thorough, meticulous and attention to details in their work. For example, there were some little things which I thought were not going to be picked up which they were picked up during the process. Also, there were some aspects of my case which I thought were less important, which in fact turned out to be part of the plank of the case.
I also thank other members of staff for their efforts.
