After qualifying, Michelle joined a Solicitors’ firm in Sheffield where she trained under one of the most respected family lawyers in the area. She eventually became a partner and head of a large family department at a highly regarded Sheffield law firm where she built the family department into one of the most respected and formidable departments in the area, winning the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year. Michelle decided to set up her own company after perceiving that many family departments had a very prescriptive approach to clients. Faced with pressures to sign a clean break order, that would leave me with marital debts, I was put in contact with Michelle Cooper.

Divorce
Michelle, Jill and the team made a very difficult and emotional process that bit easier for me. I appreciated their open, friendly approach and their patience in explaining legal terms I hadn't come across before. I felt absolutely confident in their ability, but they also gave me confidence to make the right decision at such a difficult time. I was listened to and supported. Divorcing an obstructive partner
Michelle and Jill helped me through a very difficult divorce. They were efficient, professional and supportive throughout the whole process. I needed to feel I had some protection and that it was possible not to be bullied out of a fair settlement- Michelle really gave me the courage to achieve that fair settlement as quickly as possible. They were kind and understanding at all times, which was so important during this stressful time.
