Hilary Buckle obtained a degree in law in 1979 from University College London and passed her Solicitors final exams the following year.
She completed her training at Stephenson Harwood in the City and qualified as a solicitor in 1982.
Since then, she has specialised in probate, wills and trust matters, working in Westminster and High Wycombe. After seven years in charge of a probate department, she moved to Barrett & Co where she is now senior partner, specialising in all aspects of private client work.
Hilary has written articles on probate and trust matters for a national publication and lectures regularly at retirement seminars.
Hilary is a member of the Thames Valley branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and regularly attends meetings which are a valuable means of sharing and exchanging information with other specialists, and keeping up to date with changes in the law. Hilary is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and an associate member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists).
Hilary is a school governor at a Reading school and she is also the organist at her local village Church.
Her interests include theatre going, gardening, Zumba and keeping hens.
