James obtained his undergraduate Bachelor of Laws degree from the Open University in 2017, and his LLM in Legal Practice from Northumbria University in 2018. Originally from Whitley Bay, he undertook his training contract with a firm in Carlisle. After qualifying James went on to specialise in Private Client matters. James joined the Private Client department in our Hexham office in 2024. He deals with a variety of personal matters for clients including the Administration of Estates, the drafting of Wills, Trusts and Lasting Power of Attorney applications. James prides himself on striving to provide the best service possible for his clients. Outside of work, James enjoys arts and crafts, playing boardgames with friends, going for long dog walks with his dog Eddie and spending time with his husband.
