Henrietta has been with Family First for over 10 years, having trained with us in 2013 (when the firm was founded) she then conducted her professional qualifications to become a Lawyer and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx). She has extensive experience in the legal sector and has built a successful legal practice as well as being involved with the growth and development of the business. As of October 2022 Henrietta was appointed Associate Director assisting the Directors with the management and daily running of the business alongside her legal work. Henrietta is sensitive to the emotional needs of clients and her patience and kindness with your case will be appreciated whatever the assets or circumstances of your matter. With over a decade working in Family Law, she has built a wealth of experience of divorce and matrimonial financial matters and regularly deals with complex matters including those where there have been issues of non-disclosure, assets overseas, trusts and businesses. She also advises on complicated matters that require applications in respect of enforcement and variation as well as acting for intervenors in financial proceedings and dealing with cases with third party interests. Having undertaken advocacy for clients at First Directions Appointments and Financial Dispute Resolution Appointment hearings, Henrietta is well attuned with the approach of the courts and the Judges which enables her to give practical and commercial advice to her clients in relation to a fair settlement. Henrietta is very experienced in Children Act matters, including cases where there has been a history or accusations of domestic abuse, fact finding hearings and cases where parents have had a significant period without contact. Henrietta also deals with Special Guardianship Order applications and cases involving elements of alienation. Henrietta also has a breadth of experience advising clients on Family Law Act matters. Henrietta regularly advises cohabitees/couples who may not be married, in line with the Trust of Land Act legislation, drafting declarations of trust and separation agreements, as well as experience of drafting pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements.
