Slow response to emails and phone calls, misplaced documents and over all poor and unprofessional service. Having used Bates, Wells and Braithwait previously I was disappointed with the conveyancing service provided on this occasion. I will not be using BWB in future.

Sale of property
I have recently (summer 2024) used Ms Karen Healy, at Bates Wells & Braithwaite Solicitors, as the conveyancer to deal with the probate sale of my late mother’s property in Ipswich.
The fees were clearly set out in writing at the start of the process and were very reasonable.
My email enquiries/instructions were acted on promptly.
The sale was completed very efficiently and there were no “hidden” costs incurred.
The net sale proceeds were paid into my bank account on the same day that the sale was completed.
I am very happy with the service provided by Ms Healy.

House purchase.
volved a deed of variation, which required the expertise of an experienced conveyancer. I couldn’t have chosen anyone better than Karen Healy. Without her guidance and support, I wouldn’t be in my new home today. Absolutely amazing!

An outstanding service that deserves recognition
TBH I don't usually write reviews - HOWEVER, when a service is truly outstanding and goes above and beyond then I feel compelled to acknowledge and share my experience.
I can state, without doubt, just how amazing and outstanding Karen is BECAUSE initially as part of my mortgage deal I was offered free legals as a 'benefit' WELL I was immediately sent down many rabbit holes by the free legal service, services an endless number of complicated legal 'ToDos' and got completely overwhelmed - I decided to pay for a quality solicitor to help me cut through all of this and honestly Karen just 'took care of business' made the process effortless for me and absolutely smashed it out of the park with clear updates via a transparent online tracking workflow system - within literarily weeks everything was sorted - absolutely outstanding service - Karen is extremely skilled and knowledgeable and just took all the stress and pain away - best money I've spend lately AMAZING THANK YOU KAREN

Conveyancing
I would like to highly recommend Karen.
Over the last 25 years, I have been a property landlord and bought and sold many properties as a result. In my opinion she is the best solicitor due to her hard work in looking after her clients, progressing sales and communication to third parties.
I would not hesitate to both recommend her services nor hesitate to assist me with such in the future. Thank you

1st class service and communication!
Karen was not only available to talk to and always responded promptly to any queries, but she took pride in understanding my situation and how important her role was in helping me to finalise what had been a long and painful legal journey.
Karen kept her explanations detailed but easy to understand, and that made things so much easier to understand.
