Thanks to Tim Barlow & Salli LaBelle Platt,of Buchanan soliçitors Staveley I have been successful in a personal injury claim against a very well known retail store.From the time I complained to the store of my very serious accident they treated me with contempt denying knowledge of any cause.I persevered and finally the truth of this matter enabled me move forward and Tim was more than pleased to take my case.The manner ive been treated by this solicitor and Salli has been exemplary,with kindness,and proffesional at all times. Property Transfer
I engaged Buchanan and Co to arrange the legal transfer of a property following Probate. From the initial contact the process was responsive, straightforward and professional. The team were entirely reassuring and transparent as well as offering a good value service. I subsequently recommended them to handle the conveyance of a family member. Will definitely use them again should the need arise.

Neighbour Dispute, regarding fence.
I was very pleased with my initial meeting with Salli and Tim and their very prompt response to my dispute. Also the correspondence sent to my neighbour solved the dispute. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone I know.

Legal power of Attorney and Will
Everything was explained and made clear. Tim was very polite and respectful

Unconvincing...
My initial introduction meeting was somewhat disappointing. It appeared that this meeting simply repeated previous conversations, and may of been considered needless by some.
The correspondence following this meeting was unconvincing, unclear and poorly presented.
I was left feeling unsure that adequate attention had been given to understanding if my case had any true merit.
Differing messages regard payments and balances led to confusion. And, after several requests I have still not received a single invoice for payments made or any balance placed on account.
Overall: Disappointed.

Our initial meeting was to help all of us to understand how best we can help you, to explain our services to you and to get to know you as a prospective client, whilst addressing any concerns and questions you may have. In these meetings we can often give some initial legal advice, but this can be limited if we do not have everything we need to hand to understand your situation completely. In your case, it deserved a lot more investigation from us before taking instructions and coming back to you with legal advice and clear conclusions on our research. We think your concern regarding your matter not receiving adequate attention suggests that you may be somewhat unaware of the hard work which goes on behind the scenes and the hours spent researching and considering the various documents you provided us with (and the historical file requests from government portals etc.) The information we gave you was extensive and covered all angles. Perhaps it makes sense to assure you that a great deal of attention was given to your matter and within a very reasonable timeframe of 12 working days from start to finish. The merits of your case were discussed at length between myself and Senior Solicitor Tim Barlow, and later with yourself in the clear advisory correspondence provided. You were emailed both invoices some time ago, which refutes your claim where you state that you did not receive them. To conclude; we are sorry that you claim to have had a disappointing experience, especially as we really studied your case and identified the options available to you. These may not have been what you were hoping for, but we really did work in your best interests and are left feeling quite astonished at this review.

Excellent Service
The service provided by Alex, Tim, Sallie and Zara was excellent, All were very professional and took the time to explain the details of making a will, putting our property into a Trust and the Power of Attorney both Financial and Health.

Lasting power of Attorney
In spite of the subject Wills and lasting power of attorney it was a pleasant experience. Everyone that dealt with us put as at ease and explained everything thoroughly and clearly so we take it all in. We felt reassurred and confident that all eventualities were covered.

Professional, Friendly and very Knowledgeable
From the moment we met him, Alex was friendly and welcoming; he answered our questions clearly and in simple English so that we felt at ease. We were impressed with his knowledge of the law pertaining to wills. Tim and Salli who were also involved in the process were so friendly and knowledgeable.
