Extremely disappointed with the experience from RWK Goodman.
From the moment myself and the other executor entered the room, followed by the solicitor. We could tell she had better things to do. There was no compassion, no sorry for your loss. We did ask a few questions however. Although I am very aware that this comes at a price, seeing as I have never been an exexutor, was more than happy to pay for a service.
But the solicitor in question made us feel like idiots when queries were posed. No constructive language was used and everything we said seemed to just be shut down. They were more than happy to discuss prices and nothing else.
My main point is a little compassion would go a long way.
Knowing the will in question had been written and adjusted over several years, I am aware that all of this was done at a price. Quite rightly, however, this was not even considered when handing the will over.
It doesn't matter who you are, how much money is in your account. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and a little diginity. Especially those grieving for close loved ones.
