Useless, Unprofessional, Incompetent Amateurs with Law

I deal with lawyers, attorneys, and solicitors worldwide, and I've never encountered such unprofessional legal representation in all my life.

ShakespeaerreMartineau / Lime Solicitors represented me in a civil lawsuit against a school's negligence in a childhood abuse case. They were handed my case when my previous solicitor retired. The first thing they did was ensure that the school outside the settlement paid all their legal fees - outside of the settlement amount. This ensured they were paid a nice fee and allowed them not to care as much about any settlement amount. So when the school's representatives offered a settlement with seven days to respond, my Shakespeare Martineau attorney failed to pass it along promptly and professionally.

After requesting I deal with another solicitor within the company, I was denied; consequently, I accepted the school's offer, not because it was a fair amount but because I didn't want to have to deal with ShakespeaerreMartineau / Lime Solicitors any further. That decision cost tens of thousands, but it was worth not dealing with such unprofessional incompetence.

In being handed the case, my attorney still made me go through hours of detailed interviews with therapists and resubmit all paperwork and receipts from doctors from decades ago. This was after a successful criminal conviction, with police interviews and reports. It was a painful and arduous task with the information they had previously had, and I realized it was causing me more trauma in dealing with my own solicitors.

The solicitor's communication, or lack thereof, was exceptionally slow, and I complained numerous times.

When I officially complained to the company through the proper channels, they didn't respond promptly according to their policies.

In my criminal case, the school teacher received 18 years in jail, and seeing the British justice system work was the best day of my life. My one regret in the case was engaging ShakespeaerreMartineau / Lime Solicitors to act as my representatives.

I'm writing to you so you won't make the same mistake I made!

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

The audacity of turning up to my fathers funeral as a friend, makes this whole situation all the more insulting.

We instructed these people to deal with my fathers probate, a large part of his estate having to do with an ongoing litigation regarding his ex partners. Come to find out one of said ex partners is working for the firm and no one thought it appropriate to mention it to us. To make things even worse, they then lied about their knowledge of said litigation and claimed they knew none of the details, despite having had lengthy discussions and documents in their possession.

I am disgusted at the behaviour. Since my father’s death I am learning that there really are no good people left in the world.

Avoid if possible

Terrible experience, I used Shakespeare Martineau to buy my first house about 2 years and a half ago, huge mistake.
During the process, nobody would answer my calls. I have to teach maths to the lady dealing with my house buy because according to her, I had to pay an extra 10k for the deposit. I literally had to make a spreadsheet to show what she was doing wrong. Then after pestering, it took 2 years in half for my deeds to be done, bear in mind, all my neighbours that bought the house at the same time had their deeds ages ago and even sold and bought another house while I was waiting for mine. When I finally got it, my name had slightly misspelt and they didn't get me the exchange property contract, I have to myself they lost it because when I finally got it back, it was an old version scanned - not even got the trouble to print it and send it to me as they demanded me to do for them. Please, don't throw your hard earn money down the drain with the company, hire someone else to handle your house exchange. Mainly someone that knows how to do maths.

I couldn’t have asked for a better representative!! I was kept up to date at every stage and felt at all times that nick had my back. I was so impressed with the bundle he produced, and even more impressed by his excellence in the court room, and above all the way he used my dad’s one liner in his closing statement “ this is a book on how not to run a company” you did me proud and thanks to us taking this step my former employer has been forced to buck up his ideas once again thank you for all your help gregg Latchums number 1 ☝️

I wanted to write to you to express my gratitude and thanks, for the professionalism, commitment and incredible support provided by Jen over recent months.
Earlier this year, I was somewhat deflated at the legal advice and support I was receiving with my previous solicitor, and frustrated that my divorce case wasn’t progressing. However, since being advised by a close friend to approach GL, I’ve never looked back.
I can’t thank you and Jen enough for everything you’ve done for my divorce case, and the position I find myself in today. Yesterday, we achieved a deal, having moved the other sides position considerably from the beginning of the FDR hearing.
In a difficult year for us all, you have managed to end my year on a high note, for which I am very grateful.
