This review is for a different branch.
If you’re in the market for a reliable conveyancer, steer clear of Convey Law and, by extension, their questionable endorsements from L&C Mortgage Brokers. My recent ordeal with Convey Law, specifically with Katarina Donovan, was nothing short of a nightmare.
The process of moving into my new home dragged on for over six months, with Katarina’s communication—or lack thereof—making the situation even more exasperating. Phone calls were infrequent, and her emails were not only poorly written but also fraught with grammatical errors and bafflingly vague. She had a knack for avoiding phone calls, opting instead to reply to voicemails with terse, unhelpful emails. The customer service was, without a doubt, the worst I’ve ever encountered.
The situation reached a crescendo on a Friday afternoon, just when we were supposed to exchange contracts. Convey Law blindsided me with an email about a land registry issue that would delay our completion date, despite having had all the necessary documents for months and supposedly starting final checks days before. This level of disorganisation is inexcusable from a so-called professional firm.
My attempt to address these concerns with Managing Director Lloyd Davies was met with complete silence—no apology, no acknowledgment, just a void that spoke volumes about their customer service.
Forget the shiny awards and accolades that Convey Law parades around; they’re not worth the paper they’re printed on. And be wary of mortgage brokers who sing their praises—they’re likely motivated by referral fees rather than genuine satisfaction with Convey Law’s services. Do yourself a favor and choose a local conveyancer who will actually put in the effort to make your move as smooth as possible. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
