In an ideal world this firm would be shut down. They quoted my Father's shares in £'s and pence NOT the amount of shares, the difference being approx £30,000.00.

Too many people involved in my probate, ZERO checking of communications resulting in me having to correct them and then WITH-HOLDING of my Dad's Premium Bonds because I wanted to dispute the invoice, which months later they have not paid hence the Ombudsman, and they have taken it on, speaks volumes !

Google reviews are also awful.

Dear Miss P I have looked at your file, and i am sorry that you have felt the need to complain. You are correct that unfortunately, there was a typographical error, we included a £ in the number of shares incorrectly, and apologised to you for that, you were aware of the value of the shares in any event, but yes, Willsons made a typographical error. We offered you several hundred pounds in compensation, due to your complaint, you felt this to be insufficient, as is your right, you have complained to the Ombudsman. This issue will now be considered by them. Monies have been retained by us for your outstanding bill, which solicitors are allowed to do. I hope that the Ombudsman will resolve your complaint to your satisfaction as soon as possible. I am sorry that in this instance our level of service has fallen below our standard.

Having previously already been to a local company to make a will - the male solicitor caused me distress due to giving inaccurate advice & inaccurate information.

Thank you to Willsons Solicitors Team Astley for making the purchase of my first home a very easy and stress free experience. I had to withdraw from one purchase initially; however when I found another property the team at Willsons were so helpful and efficient in progressing the case. The facility to do all this electronically, via portal and email and the occasional phone call was incredibly easy. In addition, emails were always responded to on time and call backs were always received when promised. I was kept updated throughout the whole process and dealing with the same people each time was a great help as I never had to explain myself each time I called (which is very rare when dealing with some organisations these days..!) Thank you Peter, Sarah, Jo and the rest of Team Astley
