As executor of my late Great Aunt's will, I needed a conveyancing solicitor to act for the sale of her house in Bury. Born in bury in 1928, she had worked as secretary for a Mr V D M Hall at Greene & Greene as a school leaver, so they were my first choice. I asked for a second quote and Greene & Greene were slightly more competitive, which was great news. Tim Fox (who remembers Mr Hall) has been a pleasure to deal with. After having the displeasure of dealing with some less than competent conveyancers in the past, my partner and I somewhat aprehensively instructed Greene & Greene to act for us in the purchase of a paddock for our horse in October 2024.
I have to say, Ellice and James have altered our perception of how solicitors behave.
Ellice was pleasant to deal with, efficient, knowledgeable and a great communicator. The transaction completed ahead of target, on bugdet and with very little stress.
On the day of completion we met the vendor, who took the trouble to comment at how smooth and pain-free the transaction was.
Ellice and James are a credit to the company, and the profession.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
