Poor first impression - be prepared to chase them
I used these solicitors circa 2005, when I purchased a property, and had no complaints then. However, recent experience was different.
I called them to enquire about legal representation re a UK visa application, and was told a solicitor's secretary would call me back to discuss my needs. Several days later, having heard nothing, I called again and was told: "Email us with some information, and someone will call you back". Hmmm - couldn't they have just told me to email the information in the first place?
I duly sent the email, yet several days later, no acknowledgement and no call. It's an urgent matter, so even if they can't help, I'd have appreciated up-front honesty so I can look elsewhere.
My advice - unless you want to spend time chasing a solicitor in order to give them your money, look elsewhere.
