School Support

As a school, we have been through a very challenge set of circumstances and Qaisar has been very supportive. He has responded in a timely manner, provided advice for lots of different scenarios and I am very grateful for the support that we have received. He has also been proactive, contacting me to see how particular events resolved themselves and sending over articles and different information to support. Thank you

Excellent support

We were required to attend a SEND tribunal, a daunting process having never been through this before. Qaisar was thoughtful, understanding and empathetic from the start. He understood our thoughts and feelings, and proved to gather information about our case, challenging us and helping us to prepare thoroughly. He was honest and forthright throughout allowing us to accurately consider all options and make informed decisions. I would highly recommend Qaisar to anyone in a similar situation.

Outstanding SEN and EHCP Advisory Support

We are a tier-one MAT with a focus on inclusion and schools across country. Having worked with a large proportion of firms advising on complex/high-risk EHCP consultation response, we became aware of Winckworth Sherwood through their training webinars, which we viewed as the best available. We then contacted WS with an urgent matter and received outstanding support and advice on a 48 hour turnaround, and which has led us to substantially rethink and revise our approach in a key area of education law. We look forward to continuing to work with Winckworth Sherwood.

Highly skilled SEN and discrimination specialist

I have known Qaisar in a professional capacity for over 10 years and have always been impressed by the quality of his work and his work ethic. When a family member required assistance to secure special educational provision, he was my first port of call. He worked tirelessly on this challenging case and secured a brilliant outcome for my family member. I recommend him often to others and cannot speak of him highly enough.

Passionate about Education for all

Highly recommend Qaisar Sheikh and all who have helped my 19 year old SEN daughter. Over the three years that it took from the LA's initial potential removal of EHCP at the end of 16 plus education to the successful tribunal to include further education at a specialist residential college, we have been supported and updated every step of the way.

My daughter's original EHCP was full of outdated information and had only a quarter of what it has in it now. Qaisar helped with engaging the specialist advice to ensure a fully updated EHCP that is now a true representation of her actual needs and suitable provision.

Qaisar Sheikh was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable on all levels but has is a very compassionate person. It is easy to see that the his work means a lot to him and how vested he is in achieving a great outcome for all children.

Qaisar of Winckworth Sherwood was recommended to me so I instructed him to help with my son’s SEN tribunal appeal against my local authority. He did a great job for me over the course of 10 months, liaising with the local authority, my son’s school and many independent experts. Qaisar was a good listener and communicator. He navigated this tricky area of law and enabled us as a family to achieve all desired outcomes for my son incorporating a comprehensive and robust EHCP. I would not hesitate to recommend.

A client

Whilst Winckworth seem to be great on visas & immigration the same cannot be said for conveyancing. If you are looking into Winckworth for conveyancing- please make sure you read those reviews.

We had no choice as they act on behalf of Sage Housing Association who my partner brought a shared ownership property through.

We have been trying to sell this property (with a buyer found, chain free on both sides) since June 2023 (we are now in July 2024). Winckworth Sherwood have caused a mountain of delays. They failed to correctly spot that the car parking spaces in the lease were never actually registered on the title or lease plan filed a Land Registry meaning we then had to get them registered. As the property is shared ownership, our Solicitor requires authority to add these in from Winckworth and we have waited for 14 weeks (and counting) for a response. We are constantly told ‘as soon as possible’. Their ‘as soon as possible’ doesn’t seem very quick.

Overall, Winckworth Sherwood have costed this sale 8 months worth of delays from just not responding, absolutely shocking from the Housing Association conveyancing team
