Clean break divorce

I supported my daughter Rachel through her divorce and we first instructed a local solicitor to handle the case but after a short time decided to move on a strong recommendation from a friend to Jones Myers and we were both glad we did.

Meggie Chan has represented me since November 2020 in a protracted set of family court proceedings. The other parent in the case has been highly antagonistic both in respect of myself and my law firm, with what I believed was the intention of intimidating Meggie and Jones Myers until they stepped away from my case (to isolate me even further than he had already). I wouldn't have blamed them at all if Meggie and her team had decided not to accept my instructions in the subsequent proceedings, but instead she and her colleagues have remained steadfast throughout this brutal case. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I have received in the last 4 and a half years, both in terms of legal expertise but also emotional support (which I am sure was usually outside of her remit as my solicitor). Couldn’t have survived without them

I honestly could not have got through the last 18 months with out their guidance but also their care and understanding. It is easy for people to just be all about the law and money, but they always had my emotional well-being at the heart of the advice as well and I will be forever grateful for that.

Weirdly I brought myself a ring to wear post divorce as I miss wearing rings but only ever wore my engagement and wedding ring, so my hands have been bare for a long time. That ring arrived the day they emailed to say the consent order was agreed and they had completed their work on my behalf.

I shall now be able to wear it with the confidence that life is now moving onto the next chapter and they played a large part in making that possible.

From beginning to end Kate, Brittany & Lisa have been amazing. They not only offered legal advice but were very sensitive to my situation. They listened and supported me in every way possible and kept me updated with any news whether by email or phone call. I was always guided in the right direction and was not just told what I wanted to hear. It made a big difference that they believed me and did all they could for me and my children. This led to the very best outcome for my children and also myself.
