Tracy Bennett was asked to do the conveyancing of a very simple house sale. We had inherited the property. She was recommended heavily by the estate agents Tony . House sale progressed. We had very little to do with her apart from meeting her when we dropped off the required id and completed TA6 and TA10 forms at the start of the sale. Seemed very nice and confident. All information on house sale was fed to us by estate agent. We were told by Tracy that we would need to go in and sign another form, but this never happened.
There was no final bill sent to us after the sale .... we queried this a week after the sale and were emailed two scrappy spreadsheets. As banks and other financial institutions ask for proof of the source of funds when depositing large amounts - we asked them to send a final bill. Tracy told us one was in the post, but she would send us another one. Which duly turned up. The property name was incorrect as was our home address. This left us wondering if our sale was done professionally. We were never told which solicitor oversaw her work, obviously we should have asked.
