These solicitors failed to advise a simple technicality in father and daughter reunion application. I did all the preparation like DNA TESTS and approached them so I can have legal representation.
I provided payslips and everything to prove that I was able to look after myself and my daughter should she arrive in the UK.
However, this was used against me by the Home Office. The adjudicator challenged my lawyer why they presented a free application instead of advising me to take a paid visa application since I had money. Also they said my daughter who I left in custody of my sister , would not qualify under family reunion as the immigration law required me and her to have been living under the same roof before I left my country and also they said that there were no pictures of me and my daughter while she was a baby to prove that we were close.
Very flimsy excuses were used given the fact that I fled the country fearing political persecution and the fact that I had hid my daughter with my sister to avoid her being used as a target to get to me.
I paid fees for representation but in the end I was worse off than I could have been representing myself!
