The worst possible choice I could have made. Their service has been virtually non-existent. They needed chasing at every step, only responded to one request promptly (the one where I threatened to raise a formal complaint), sat on documents for weeks without action, and finally overcharged by £369.

It's my first time to buy a property, and I didn’t understand many things. Especially when buying a property in a foreign country, I found it difficult to communicate with all parties. Fortunately, I chose a law firm with Hong Kong lawyers, this is the right choice! Ackroyd Legal has a team of Hong Kong lawyers. Their work attitude and efficiency are typical of Hong Kong professionals. They would specially write Chinese emails for me and answer my questions patiently and in detail. Every item of their fees is clearly listed. The ins and outs are well documented, making it clear and reassuring. I sincerely recommend it to all those who immigrate to Hong Kong. We recently purchased our first property and initially started the process with another solicitor. Unfortunately, they acted without consulting or informing us about important matters, such as reporting supposed “issues” to the lender before discussing them with us. This led to confusion around the annual estate charge fee and caused months of delays.
Frustrated, we approached Stephen Mulonso and decided to switch to his firm. He assigned Nicholas Martinez to handle our case, and although I was initially worried that we’d face the same issues, those concerns quickly disappeared. Once they reviewed the documents and got up to speed, Nicholas resolved the dispute within a few emails, and everything was sorted within days. To our surprise, we soon even had a confirmed move-in date!
We are incredibly grateful for their professionalism, clear communication, and speedy resolution of the issues. A huge thanks to Stephen and Nicholas for their excellent service—we would 100% recommend them!
