Proving that Conveyancing doesn't need to be a drawn out affair

I engaged with Platt & Fishwick to see through the purchase of a commercial property that was being bought under auction terms, and was therefore time bound to Complete within 28 days. From the very initial email enquiring about fees, right the way through Completion, things were handled swiftly by James and Hannah, with good, simple email traffic to provide information, and sort out queries and answers. I found the whole process straightforward, even though additional searches were required for such things as chancel repairs, and insurance indemnities had to be put in place. It was straightforward because they made it so. I will use them again in future.

Guardianship

Lack of responsiveness. I brought this to senior partner’s attention who happens to have the same surname as the solicitor I was using. Therefore nothing happened. The whole process took so long that that my Mother passed away and we are now looking at probate rather than POA, using a different firm. I went local to support the local community and they failed as an organisation. I would not recommend.

Terrible customer service

Purchasing a property and using platt and fishwick has been an absolute nightmare, no calls or emails are ever responded too. The staff are very rude. Very unhelpful and make you feel like the bad guy for trying to get your house sale and move completed.
Leslie never returned any call or emails failed to communicate very very poor service

No complaints, have used before and will use again !!

Called at the Wigan office, arranged for a call back following day, called as arranged by Pat Higgins, given plenty of advice which I found useful and will act-on. Ms Higgins was professional, pleasant and helpful, everything as arranged. I have used this Law Firm before and always found the service to be excellent.

Do not use these solicitors for anything.

Sadly I have employed Platt and Fishwick for both the dispersements and probate if my mothers will and the conveyancing of my property. I have never encountered such sloppy, unprofessional service in my life. A few examples are: emails that take a week to respond to, dictation of questions that take over a week, a total failure to communicate or prioritise on any level. As a client I feel disappointed, frustrated and , above all, defrauded. Please do not fall for the marketing as I did. I would never use Platt and Fishwick for any legal advice.

First Class Experience

I am surprised to see either glowing reviews or awful ones and nothing in-between. There may be more to these experiences than meets the eye.

I recently purchased a commercial/residential property in North Wales

James made this process entirely worry free through his extensive knowledge, professional expertise, attention to detail and first class, rapid communication.

The fees were very fair and the level of service made this extremely good value for money.

I have dealt with many members of the legal profession over the years, for a variety of purposes including land/property transactions, and it is no exaggeration to say that he left them all standing with his handling of my purchase in Rhyl.

Based upon my own experience I would firmly recommend James Armstrong to anyone, especially for commercial property transactions.

Excellent service, highly recommend

I had a great experience with Platt and Fishwick very recenlty when buying my first home. James Armstrong was excellent - friendly, professional and responsive. He was easy to get hold of whether on phone or email, was always happy to explain things in detail, and came across as extremely genuine and trustworthy. He also spotted an issue with the lease on the first property I was planning to buy, which potentially saved me huge issues in the future. Great value for a very professional and thorough service, I would highly recommend and have in fact already recommended to family and friends. Thanks so much James.
