I have never come across a company who takes matters to heart in the way that Intime Solicitors do. They fight for you as if they are fighting for one of their own family members. A rare quality in a world like we live in today.
I had previously applied for my European Settled Status but was unsuccessful on both occasions. At this point I thought it best to speak to a professional. After my initial call to a different Immigration company had left me feeling a bit nervous about the information they gave me, I trusted my intuition and went to seek a second opinion. That's when I found Intime Solicitors called them. I was explaining my situation to Lucie and she stopped me to say that Umar had overheard our conversation and wanted to talk to me. From this moment I felt I had been guided to the right people. They were just "in time." Excuse the pun.
I met up with Umar & Lucie shortly after that call and we went through the details of my case and I was very pleased when they accepted my case. The first time they put my application through, it was rejected by the Home Office, but Umar immediately applied again with a compelling reason for them to consider my case. It was accepted by the Home Office. I received my certificate of application which made me jump for joy! I had travel booked but couldn't confirm anything until that came through.
When I arrived back into the UK from my trip, I ended up being detained for 20hrs by Border Force. It was a harrowing experience, however Umar stayed up with me all night. I arrived in at 4:30pm and was questioned around midnight by a very unfriendly pair of Border Force officers. The interview took 45min and then a further hour and 30min or so to come back to me with their decision. At this point I was called back in and told I was being deported as my answers didn't satisfy their need to grant me entry into the UK.At this point I was shell-shocked. I called Umar and this is when he sprung into action. He woke his team up so that he could draft a letter to the Home Office to stop me from being deported. He worked tirelessly pretty much ALL NIGHT to get this done, even suffering a burst blood vessel in his eye due to the stress of the situation, causing him a lot of pain and a visit to the doctor. He was on the phone to me reassuring me even when the welfare worker at the Border Force tried to drive a wedge between us. They even told me that I should get another lawyer.
At 6am the following morning I was called out of the room again and advised that the Home Office had received his letter and that it would be reviewed by the High Official when they got to work that morning. So I had to wait a bit longer. It was the first bit of positive news I had received after such a long night. Umar (and Heavens) worked their magic and I was released on "Immigration Bail" as Umar and the Home Office had much to work out, so they let me go in the meantime. However, I was due to be deported that Sunday. By that Friday, Umar had managed to get the Home Office to agree to allow me to stay in the UK until my application was decided. So my deportation had been suspended.
On 12 March 2025 my EUSS application for pre-settled status was approved 🥳 Umar and his team took my case personally and fought so hard for me. He and his team handled my case with such a high level of professionalism, efficiency, expertise, class and thinking outside the box. Their attention to detail is what turned the tide and because of Umar & his team (and Heavens) I am writing this review from the comfort of my living room in the UK. Umar & Lucie, I cannot thank you enough. Words of gratitude seem to fall short to articulate all that you have done for me and indeed for my family and for keeping us all together. May the praises that are sung of you and your team bring the successes that you so richly deserve in your careers. You were a true God-send. If you are looking around for an Immigration lawyer and aren't sure who to choose, stop looking. And pick up that phone and speak to Umar and his team. They know what they are doing.
