Divorce Settlement

I asked several times whether it was worth my while taking my case to court but I never seemed to get a specific answer. The solicitor had full knowledge of my substantial savings and assets and Chris Gates words to me were “there is plenty of money to go round here”. It was only afterwards that it became apparent the money I was awarded in court from my ex-husband went completely on paying my legal fees. I am therefore no better off and have in fact come off worse than when I started. In addition to this bills were not sent to me by tte solicitors, suddenly appearing in my email weeks later saying we forgot to send you this, please pay us now. I was also contacted on several occasions by the solicitors accounts department insisting I had not paid bills when in fact I had. On instruction from my solicitor, I was to contact my barrister’s accounts department should i have any queries with her account. The barrister’s account department were shocked and puzzled by this and said my solicitor should not have told me this and refused to speak to me. So a lot of the time I was going round in circles and confused as to what the heck was going on.
