First of all I'm international tourist that come with family to explore Scotland which is on our bucket listed, it is a beautiful place to visit but on the last day of our visit we are in the accident which involve our car that we rented and motorcycle. I was in the Police Custody and suppose to come to Inverness Sheriff court next three more days, we have to change all the flight and book for the hotel. which I did show up and need the solicitor to help me. I was schedule at 10.00 a.m. which I show up at 09.30 a.m. and go to the office to report to them that I'm here, and need solicitor, so they ask me to wait so I'm wait and wait lots of solicitor dress up and walk pass by, I wait for a long long time with desperate that are there any person to help me...I don't know anything at all cause this is my first time in my life at the court and I'm from abroad....after a long waiting Marc Dickson show up and ask me what happen anyone assisted you...I said no...which at that time Marc Dickson have around 7-8 cases that day but he spare his time to stop by and ask me, and he represent himself to be my solicitors which I'm very glad and thankful for that ....after he talks to me and my daughter and bring up the case at the court everything went well and in time for me and family to travel back to Edinburgh to fly back home the next day...I have recommend Jack Gowans & Marc Dickson Solicitors Limited to our Embassy cause I feel that he really want to help out, reaching out to foreigner and others whose desperately need help. I really could not have prayed for a better Solicitor & representative than Marc Dickson and his co-workers. I got myself into some bother during the long months of Covid lockdown with an idiot who was pestering my neighbour which caused me to get overly- involved which got me landed in the cells & charged. Thanks to Marc and his expertise the outcome at court was better than I could have expected. Later on during lock-down months I was going through a period of isolation and I turned to drugs temporally which got me into more problems involving vehicle/driving and various court appearances with the possibility of losing a good job and my livelihood. Really poor service. explained with vivid clarity from the outset what lay ahead. I was advised that there were ways to deal with these types of behaviour. I was with the firm for almost two years and never saw what these ways were. Joyce expressed mock horror at my ex partners tactics and encouraged me to report her to legal aid, then refused to co operate with them when they asked about it. She never ever complained to the court about what was happening and set me up in an endless stream of continuations, the reason for which is pretty obvious. She kept me in an endlessly precarious position where as long as kept throwing in the thousands, I could maintain contact with my son. And yet she claimed that almost every court case was some kind of victory. As my ex partner made her way through solicitor after solicitor, she finally ended up with a virtual last hope solicitor. This solicitor never answered questions, threw in tactical allegations and only turned up at court when she felt like it. Joyce displayed no ability to deal with this and just seemed fed up. She basically let her solicitor walk all over me. 25 years experience and expertise? I never at any point felt like Joyce was on my side and my decision to hire her was one of the worst mistakes of my entire life. Suffice to say my son is gone forever. £40,000 put me in a worse position that when I first hired her. She has played a massively damaging part in multiple lives and effectively worked for my ex partner.
