My mothers Will found to be invalid when she dies
My mother’s Will was found to be invalid when we tried to register the the property some years after her death. The Will was drafted, a joint tenancy advised and included signatures witnessed but there were no checks to confirm property was Registered with the Land Registry, therefore the Will was deemed invalid as the title deeds were in my fathers name. This was picked up by another firm of solicitors.
We have just encountered the same issue with my father in-law’s Will when trying to register my mother in-law’s property. The impact of this could have been significant had the care home costs.
These solicitors also acted as executors for my father in-laws Will. The service was appalling.
