From my initial phone call and all the way through the process of applying for guardianship for my mother I could not recommend McCarthy Law enough. We appointed this Solicitor to help us through the process of obtaining guardianship for our Mum. From the very beginning they were professional, supportive and inclusive in our journey. The staff was also commented on by the medical professionals who confirmed our legal team were very effective and efficient in obtaining the necessary information to support our claim for the court application.

It would take a lot of time to write out just how thankful I am to the good people of McCarthy Law for everything they did for me. But if you are looking at reviews, you probably just want to know what you will get if you go with them?

They will deliver a well communicated, professional service. Expert legal advice, and proactive handling. They friendly ofcourse but certainly not to the opposition, no, they will take those b*****s to the cleaners.

So if you are at the beginning of your legal journey, wondering where to go or what to do next, pick up the phone and give them a call.

We recently reached out to McCarthy Law with a query regarding my Dad becoming the financial and welfare guardian of my Aunty.

About this branch

Description

I established McCarthy Law in 2013 as I wanted to spend as much of my time as possible assisting my clients on a one to one basis. My overheads are low meaning that my clients can get the full benefit of my legal experience without having to pay hourly rates more commonly associated with larger law firms. I offer Legal Aid where it is appropriate to do so – not all law firms do. Since starting McCarthy Law I have been able to help clients in my key areas of experience and expertise – personal injury claims of all types; family matters including divorce and separation; wills; power of attorney work and guardianship orders… I never lose sight of the fact that every instruction I receive is in relation to a matter that is of extreme importance to my client and accordingly I treat it as such. My approach is simple… I keep my client central, deliver balanced and insightful advice to achieve the best outcomes. My academic qualifications are a degree in Scots Law (LLB), Master of Law (Medicine, Law and Ethics), and Notary Public. I am a member of the Family Law Association.
