Collected on:
Negligent, disloyal, and unfit to act in safeguarding or family procee
Simon Brimacombe was appointed as my solicitor during ongoing family court proceedings involving serious safeguarding concerns.
I submitted clear video evidence showing the mother of my daughter being physically aggressive — including footage of her striking our child over the head with a plastic bowl.
Simon acknowledged receipt of that footage.
But he never:
• Submitted it to the court
• Ensured it was disclosed to the guardian or opposing party
• Escalated the evidence to protect the child’s welfare
Instead, I was told I “didn’t stand a chance.”
I was discouraged from challenging biased reports.
I was repeatedly steered toward accepting decisions that ignored my daughter’s safety.
This wasn’t legal representation.
This was complacency in the face of safeguarding risk.
I am now pursuing formal complaints with the Legal Ombudsman and SRA.
This solicitor’s failure to act in a high-risk family case caused harm, delay, and injustice.
I would not recommend him for any family or child welfare proceedings.
In my view, he is unfit to advise where safeguarding is at stake.
