Appalling Service

I worked with this firm for a recent house purchase and was utterly appalled by their service, or lack thereof. Tim Nock was my solicitor and he made errors in his work, was impersonal and delayed my purchase. The firm gave me minimal compensation for his errors and were extremely defensive of their services, despite my complaints. I would never recommend anybody work with this firm if you are seeking a professional service that supports your needs.

Fast and efficient conveyancing

I was told by several solicitors that to complete our transaction before the end of the stamp duty holiday would be impossible. However Nicola Emo at Brewer Harding and Rowe promised she would try her best and to my complete surprise the transaction was done with time to spare.
I cannot recommend a solicitor for conveyancing any higher than this and I have purchased a number of properties over the years. Value for money, efficient and responsive - a very enjoyable experience - I have never ever been able to say that before.

Terrible Service

I hired Mr Ball as my duty solicitor, for criminal defence. As I punched someone who attacked me after a knife attack (from 3 men).

Long story short, all evidence of me being attacked was hidden from the CPS by the police, and Rod Ball did his part to hide evidence from the court prosecution.

First Rod Intemiidattes me and told me I should not tell the courts of the events that led to my defense, or else the magistrates would get annoyed and throw me in prison.

So I turned on my phone and recorded Mr Ball.

When I played back the recording and spoke to local councilors and businessmen, they told me to fire him as he has a bad reputation not being very good. (that's putting it mildly).

After firing MR ball, I tried to hire a Barrister, as I could see that I was being railroaded, sadly no Barrister would take the case on as I only had a short time before court.

forced to represent myself, I went to court to tty and tell them myself about being a victim of an attack and an open IOPC investigation.

But my access was denied because Rod Ball snuck in and Spoke to the Prosecution as my defence behind the courts in a video call.

I launched complaints from the courts, which was escalated to Exeter. But suddenly all information around the case disappeared.

All in all, I wich i never met the man, he was very cheap in his defence, but everything else was very sub-par.

Simple probate, made difficult

Probate issue took over 4 months as some heir and executor I felt like I had zero support grant of probate was eventually issued and case was closed asap, despite that I needed help with certain aspects aside from a brief letter to close case and if I needed further help call, I was given no will, no paperwork ,no help with deeds to a property I inherited ,not told about council taxes I will now be faced with paying on an empty property, pretty symbolic all round at a time of great distress and I still can't move on because of paperwork issues. I felt like no one was interested or really cared. Also Barnstaple office lost death certificate twice I had to drive 100 miles two times before rectified, no apology I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BELIEVE ALL POSITIVE REVIEWS BELOW!

Wonderful company run by real people that you can talk to on the phone or visit. Makes a change from a number of other solicitors we contacted that turned out to be hundreds of miles away and only wanted to deal with online forms that were poorly written. I will always use this company in future.
