I have used this business for three matters.
I have been dealt with in a respectful way by professionals who really know what they are talking about. The have conducted the meetings and dealt with paperwork extremely efficiently and explained everything clearly.
I was listened to and my needs were met. I felt at ease and would not hesitate to use them again if necessary.

Time taken and communication unacceptable

I have used AandCo for my combined house purchase and sale on referral from my agent. The time it has taken so far is 19 weeks (still not signed) feels totally unreasonable but I can not get a response by email or for them to return my call although I try daily.
Both my buyer and buying from, signed their contracts 2 weeks ago. They are both chasing me and AandCo for a completion date. Their solicitors are too chasing A&Co to no avail.
This has been the most stressful house move I have ever experienced which could be rectified by just a simple call or email from AandCo to give me an update.

A journey!

My legal issue was an unusual one, and I had contacted several law firms before this one, all of whom said they couldn't/wouldn't help. My first call to Alexander & Co was taken by trainee solicitor Chloe Sims, who was warm, engaging and enthusiastic from the start and has remained my point of contact throughout the months that have followed, supported by senior solicitors in the firm. It has required the firm to deal with some issues they have not had to manage before, for which I've appreciated their efforts. It would have been very easy to just turn it down and avoid the hassle, as other firms have done. Yesterday we got to the end of the journey. I'm incredibly grateful to those involved in the firm, especially Chloe. I hope - and believe - she will have a long and successful career as a "can do" lawyer.

Used Alexander & Co for both the sale of my property and purchase of our new one. Graham and Sharon communicated well throughout the process and I didn't have to chase them at all.

They were very patient and communicative with us throughout the delays caused on the sale of our property (caused by our buyers).

Graham set up a video call to go through the searches and although this wasn't my first purchase, I found this very useful and learned a great deal from it.

This is the first time I've not felt ripped of with conveyancing fees, so thoroughly recommend.

Very reliable solicitors, communication was was great kept me up to date on all aspects. Also made things easy to understand and didn't use over intellectualised language. And to top it off the process was pretty speedy. Would definitely recommend especially if you get a chance to work with Katie or Debbie who are both fab.
