Awful & rude

My dad made a will with this firm & after his death I rang them to be see what to do & the lady dealing with it was really rude & unkind & asked why I was ringing them, as I should go to the bank & sort it myself! This is an awful company best avoided. I won't be using them again.

Lost all our records!

I am genuinely horrified by my experience with this solicitor. Do not trust them with your personal information! In October of 2021 we chose to store our existing wills with this solicitor. We could never get hold of our old solicitor so we wanted to feel safe knowing that if anything happened to us our wills were being dealt with efficiently. We had a zoom meeting with Louise Deere. We scanned and sent countless documents to her. All of which she acknowledged receipt of. I even bought a new passport purely to use as ID for our wills. We also hand delivered documents which they acknowledged receipt of. We were extremely prompt and thorough and keen to sort it out. She confirmed with us that everything was sorted out.
Then, in November (2022) I contacted Louise Deere again as I wanted to makes a couple of changes to our will. We had a zoom meeting December 7th. Her invite to the meeting did not come through to us. She sent me a snotty email. When we eventually had the zoom meeting it went OK. I told myself perhaps she was busy and let the offhand email go. But that's not the big problem! I've been waiting for our updated wills. Today I get a letter that they have NO trace of any of our documents including our wills! All this time I felt safer yet they have obviously lost everything.
All the emails and scanned documents I sent to Louise Deere in October are in my sent items and I still have her replies.
Their letter stated "we have no record of you being a client or your ID or will... which you felt we did have". I didn't FEEL it. I knew because I keep hold of records! Why would I randomly contact some solicitor and pretend they have my will. She asked where our original wills are?!
This is DISGRACEFUL as is their attitude of projecting blame. This has made me feel sick with shock and worry. I now have to start all over again.
Please save yourself the bother and look for another solicitor.

Best Solicitors I have used, I dealt with Emma Lilley - Quick, efficient, affordable and if you ring they put you right through to her. It was an absolute seamless experience. Well done Emma - do not let her ever leave!

Probate - beware

From the first visit to their offices these people have failed to impress. Greeted rudely at reception, but the 'legal executive' I met with was apologetic and convinced me to trust them with my late friend's estate.
There then folowed a disappointing lack of explanation of process and no action on her part. Emails and letters she did send contained significant errors.
On 30th April I paid the account to date and asked for the return of all papers, as a different law firm has been instructed. To date I've not received the papers or a receipt for the payment.
In my view a total waste of space.
