Poor service led me to contact the legal ombudsman.
I’m really disappointed with Gamlins law firm. After an initial consultation I felt Gamlins would be able to help me through my situation. But as my case progressed communication slowed, solicitors left the company,Emails were not responded to and phone calls left unreturned.
I made an initial complaint highlighting my frustrations, which only went ignored and unresolved for months, until I took my complaint to the legal ombudsman. Suzy who dealt with my complaint was polite and apologised for the lack of communication and guidance.
By then I had no trust with the law firm and felt I had to appoint new legal representative, leading to further delays.
For the service I had received I’m unable to recommend this law firm.

I met with Gwenllian Gwynedd at Gamlins Law in Ruthin on two occasions to update my Will and arrange Lasting Power of Attorney (Health and Finance). I had been putting this off for some time but Gwenllian was very helpful and made it a good experience. Having the documents drawn up under the Cancer Research Scheme means it has not become a financial burden to me and the fact they were drawn up by a qualified solicitor has put my mind at ease.

My partner and I chose to use Gamlins to buy our first property together. We ran into some issues with the sale of my property regarding some issues with HM Land Registry which slowed the progress of our purchase to a holt.
Fortunately we had Gamlins' solicitor Mellisa Roberts who is nothing short of a miracle worker and fantastic at her job. She handled our case with professionalism and exceptional knowledge in her field.
During the six month process of overseeing the sale and purchase of our properties Melissa was always available to update and reassure us of what was happening. She consistently emailed us during out of office hours, just to keep us informed.
She is a credit to Gamlins and we hope to have her with us in any future house sale/ purchase.

We have experienced the same issues that others have encountered when using Gamlin for property purchases: a lack of communication, unanswered emails, and unreturned phone calls. This has only made an already challenging process even more difficult. We were assured that the exchange would proceed as planned and given a specific date, but at 7:20 pm the evening before the exchange, we were informed that additional documents would be required. I strongly advise against using Gamlin as a property conveyancing solicitor for anyone in a similar situation..
