Take time to call back and not rushing me. Going through the details and advising on what to do next with no pressure.

Contestation of a Will

Alan Horne took care of my case during an extremely stressful period after the death of my husband.
He was very caring and informative throughout. Alan was extremely approachable and always available at the end of a phone. I would have no hesitation in employing him again and have recommended him to several friends.

Drawing up of our wills

We had two meetings with Mr Alan Horne, the first to discuss and to instruct him on our wishes.
He then explained throroughly the implications of our decisions. He then asked us to go away and discusss together what decision to make.
The second meeting was to inform him of our decisions. He then recapped again what he had told us and after a short period of time (15 mins) he drew up the documents, we signed them and had them witnessed by another member of staff.
It was a very easy exercise. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed and we would and have recommend the service to others.

The appointment was made the day before. Alan was courteous & efficient and I would definitely consider using Kidwells Solicitors again. Thank you for a positive experience, when service in general is so poor.

This is the third time I have used Kidwells, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting an efficient and proactive solicitor who you really feel is invested in your case, no matter how insignificant it may be in the overall scheme of life. On this occasion, I was lucky enough to have Alan Horne as my allocated representative. I made contact with Kidwells by telephone on the Wednesday morning (I had used the online chat facility earlier in the week and hadn't heard back, so I recommend picking up the phone). On Wednesday afternoon Alan telephoned me; we talked through the issue and he gave me an indication of costs. On Thursday I had a follow up email from Alan, completed the ID checks and made my payment on account. On Friday I completed the remainder of the paperwork, and by 6pm Friday I had the advice I needed laid out in a thorough and easy-to-understand email - no complex jargon to worry about - followed by a courtesy call from Alan to ensure I'd received it. This service is exceptional and it meant I could head into the weekend worry-free, which was a huge relief. Alan knew that was important to me, and he didn't let me down. Best of all, he is refreshingly 'human', and just a great person to deal with. I believe that if I'd gone somewhere else I still wouldn't have an answer, and ultimately it would have cost more.

We just wanted to express our appreciation for the Will and Power of Attorney services provided by Kidwells Solicitors. What we all thought would be a reasonably straight forward process became significantly more complicated when our elderly relative suddenly found themselves hospitalised. This, coupled with a further complication could have been very stressful for our relative but these complications were professionally managed by our solicitor Alan Horne, who offered considered and easily understood guidance to our family. Alan ensured that all of the arrangements necessary to complete the work with a hospital confined client were carried out with ease. He kept us fully informed as to what was happening, a consideration he also extended to the hospital staff who were able to continue their duties without any disruption. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kidwells or Alan Horne to future clients.
