Conveyancing for house sale and purchase
McKeag and Co were excellent in the purchase of our new house and sale of our old house.
They completed the transaction within 12 weeks of the memorandum of sale being produced.
They kept us updated at all times and were prompt at replying whenever we did have any queries or questions.

Phenomenal Service
Mckeag & Co were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They helped us at every stage of our move, overcoming a number of difficulties without complaint and got the job done. They were always available to talk and every member of the team was friendly and professional.

Disappointing. Time and money wasting.
Arrogant and careless staff, from top to bottom.
Charged me for work they even failed to provide me with the results achieved.
After my conveyancing was taking much longer than usual, with no updates in spite of various my contact attempts, I have decided to pull out of the purchase due to McKeag failing to chase the vendors and managing agents for the necessary info.
Charged me 50% of fees although less than 25% of the work was done as response for queries raised was still outstanding.
When disputed the fees with the top partner, he promised to review the work done and get back to me.
Never did.

Dear Hytham We are disappointed to note that you have chosen to leave your review which we consider to be both unfair and inaccurate. We strongly disagree with your comments throughout. It is of note that when making your original complaint you made no reference whatsoever to being unhappy with the service provided , your only concern at that time was that you did not think you should be charged as much as you should have been for the aborted purchase and the work we have done up to that point . It is difficult therefore to understand why you did not at the time of making your complaint make reference to the other issues that you now have . Given that you were requesting a reduction in the fee you were to pay it would have been reasonable to expect that in deciding whether to agree to your request that you would have brought to our attention all the issues that you had at that time. In any event we do not accept your comments which we consider to be simply wrong. When you made your complaint this was acknowledged within 19 minutes of receipt and you were informed at that time that because of other prearranged commitments it would take a few days to be able to consider your request and reply to you, because of the uncertainty no specific time frame was given to you for this . However you were also provided with a copy of our complaints procedure which in compliance with our professional obligations provided a maximum time frame for replying to a complaint. We are less than half way through that time frame. It is very disappointing therefore that against that background that you have now chosen to post this review rather than contact us to enquire on the position with your complaint/ request for a fee reduction. As to the fee charged this is reasonable and in accordance with our terms and conditions of business which you agreed to at the outset. You were informed that if the purchase did not complete you would still be charged a fixed percentage depending on the point reached and the fee that you have been asked to pay is as the agreed terms and conditions. Indeed as we explained to you a further charge could have been added to this but we voluntarily chose not to do so. In all the circumstances therefore the charge is appropriate and reasonable . Finally we would like to remind you of the comments you made to Chris Thomson ,the Partner in charge of our conveyancing department . These were made after you withdrew from the proposed purchase and moreover after you had asked for a reduction in our fees. Your comments being "Thank you again for your hard work and all your efforts on this purchase"
