Partner Head of Criminal Department Director of Leeds Law Society Defence Representative of West Yorkshire Criminal Justice Board Kara is instructed to represent clients at all levels in the criminal justice system. She is an experienced advocate in the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal, but will also represent clients at the Police Station and in the Magistrates Court. She has considerable expertise and has acquired a reputation in cases involving the most serious criminal offences, notably murder, serious sexual offences, firearms and drug offences. Kara’s considerable practice involves her representing clients with mental health issues and those who are the most vulnerable. As an advocate in the Crown Court Kara has appeared, as led junior, representing a client charged with murder. She also has a growing number of successes representing clients before the Court of Appeal.
