Clare joined FJG in November 2024, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in private client services. Her extensive expertise will enhance the firm’s ability to handle complex estate planning and management matters. Throughout her 22-year career, Clare has developed proficiency in key areas such as wills, lasting powers of attorney, court of protection matters, probate, trusts and tax planning. Clare is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a fully accredited member of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly). Clare also specialises in later-life planning and estate management. With these qualifications and her broad experience, Clare is well-positioned to help FJG offer an even higher level of service to clients navigating sensitive and complex personal issues. Clare will be based primarily at our Braintree office, where she plans to revitalise and grow FJG’s private client services in wills, trusts, and probate. Additionally, she will provide weekly support to the Chelmsford team, strengthening the firm’s regional presence. Clare began her legal career in 1990 at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, where she earned her LLB (Hons) degree and completed the Legal Practice Course. She then undertook her training contract with Attwater Liell in Loughton (now Attwater Jameson Hill). Outside of work, Clare enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends (and two dogs) and staying active through Pilates and running—although as a novice runner no marathons are on the horizon!
