I was trying to move my wife from China to the UK to be with myself and our son. We had two failed spouse visa applications, a tourist visa declined, and an appeal rejected. We even had an MP who tried to help us. I was separated from my wife, and my eight-year-old son was without his mother for what turned out to be 16 months.
