Sam Hughes
Paralegal
I joined the firm in 2007 as a secretary within the Criminal Department. Prior to that I had worked as a secretary within the Criminal Department of another local firm. After joining QualitySolicitors Jordans I quickly became interested in the miscarriage of justice work undertaken by Mark Newby and as a result of that became the Administrator for the Appeals Department. I also undertook work preparing and clerking cases before the Crown Court. In 2011 I completed the BTEC Advanced Diploma in Paralegal work and I am currently a Fellow member of the Institute of Paralegals. At the present time I have my own caseload of appeal cases and am also the Administrator for the Appeals Department.

Appeal Against Conviction
Unlike my original Crown Court trial Solicitors, Jordans Solicitors went the extra mile to obtain my original trial papers from the Crown Prosecution Service, as I did not posses a copy after nearly two decades has lapsed since my trial and conviction.
Although the conclusion to this process was not what I'd hoped for, I sincerely give big thanks to Jordans Solicitors for all their efforts in considering my case for an appeal.

The Intellectual and Admissible Solicitors
I have has previous legal dealings with Jordans Solicitors and at every given avenue Sam Hughes has been the night in shining armour in terms of fighting injustice for her incarcerated clients but Sam Hughes does not see her incarcerated clients as just clients she sees them as people who just need professional and specialist legal assistance to straighten their lives and start afresh.
If I wanted my legal matter dealt with privately I would still pay Jordans Solicitors due to their legal knowledge. Sam Hughes I must say that she is very intellectual and understanding.

Appeal
This matter took five years to reach a conclusion yet I was kept informed at all times for any delays.
The presence of covid didn't help but again I was kept informed of progress.
