Jessica Davies
Trainee Solicitor
I joined Redkite in 2022 as a legal assistant and have since been promoted to the role of trainee solicitor. I am currently working within the Commercial Litigation team in Swansea. Before starting my legal career, I completed my law degree at Cardiff University and thereafter I gained my LPC and Masters in Law at Swansea University. I have a wealth of experience in a variety of legal areas, including both contentious and non-contentious work. To date, I have practiced in residential conveyancing, wills and probate, criminal law, contentious probate and commercial litigation. My experience so far has provided me with a diverse range of skills that I use every day. My experience in the core legal areas has developed my client facing skills, and I understand how essential it is to maintain effective communication with clients by providing them with regular updates and advice on their case. I am an effective listener and take all client queries and feedback on board. My experience in the contentious areas has shown me the importance of teamwork. I regularly meet with my team to discuss strategies and the next step for each case, while making sure that we are meeting important litigation deadlines. My mentors in the Commercial Litigation department have years of experience under their belt and working alongside their expertise means that I am learning a lot every day. Being a part of such an experienced and motivated team enables me to flourish as a trainee and will stand me in good stead when I qualify as a solicitor in 2024. In my spare time I enjoy painting and going to the gym. My favourite TV show is F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
