The whole process took 6 months, and here are definitely times where the causation is BLJ.
Wrong documents sent to me to sign rather than to Halton housing
Sending me documents to sign more than once
Charging me extra for shared ownership fee
Never returning a call when calling for updates
Both my seller and my buyer saying their solicitor advised it was BLJ causing hold up

Whilst the two people assigned were lovely, I feel BLJ is over worked with cases leaving no time for their customers

The conveyancing process took much longer than expected. 5 months to complete when there was no chain either side. Constantly had to call them to chase up progress. If I couldn’t get through to speak to the solicitor, they said they would call back but rarely did. When we did speak to someone on the case, they were not particularly helpful and made us feel like we were asking stupid questions. The process was inefficient and delayed the timescales to completion. Documents and answers to queries from the management company were not checked until the end of the process, meaning it added more delay going back to ask for more information. Title plan was initially sent to the lender in black and white, causing another week delay as this should have been in colour. The app used wasn’t updated accurately with progress and it often crashed when trying to open documents sent via this method.

First time buyer, and was totally unsure of all the processes. Purchased my first property and used BLJ, and they've been extremely helpful, efficient and resourceful at dealing with my case and giving clear answers to my questions. 10/10, can't fault the service. Cheers!

Communication was painfully slow. I would message on the app and it would take almost a week to get a reply or there would be no reply at all. Even my mortgage broker complained to me that they weren’t replying to her emails too.
It took 18 weeks to complete a straight forward house purchase with no chain when i already had a mortgage approved. Even if you remove the Christmas shut down from that, 16 weeks is still excessive. Even on completion day, I was notified 2 hours after my seller was…imagine if you are waiting to collect keys!!
I wouldn’t recommend BLJ to anyone and I wouldn’t use again.

The idea of a "Chat " line is misleading. We made various comments or asked questions and the response time was very slow which makes the Chat line pretty unhelpful if you need a prompt response.
