Maddy Lawrence
With the premature death of our eldest daughter, as it turned out, by clinical negligence, we were facing a very difficult journey both in proving fault and keeping heart and soul together. That we were able to, in terms of the fault element, was down to our professional legal team. They provided clear, calm and compassionate advice which got us through a horrendous inquest and subsequent legal maneuverers. They, in short, were magnificent and we are extremely grateful that we had them on our side.

Great firm!
I had an experience with Oliver Thorne who was nothing but helpful with settling my claim. He was very patient and professional as well as making sure I was happy and content throughout the whole process! Would highly reccomend him if you’re looking for a solicitor!

Hospital Negligence
After loosing our mum in 2017, and the hospital denying their mistakes we contacted the NHS Ombudsman. Although they found failing in her care and admitted it could have contributed to her death they wouldn’t say it did. We contacted Slee Blackman after they were recommended to us. Oliver took on our case and got us the top specialist to look at our complaint and back up our findings. It felt like Oliver was personally involved although professionally, he was sympathetic towards our feelings. We were able to express our grief and sometimes cry, as reliving the details was very difficult. We followed his advice, it’s took along time to reach a settlement and although it wasn’t the result I really prayed for I can now let go. I highly recommend Oliver and can not express enough how amazing he has been. We wish he all the best.

Highly recommend

Friendly, professional, knowledgable.
Oliver assisted me in the aftermath of my father’s sudden death in hospital. He helped me to draught my initial letter of complaint to the health authority, represented me and my mother at the inquest and ultimately succeeded in bringing a successful claim. I always felt I could approach Oliver with any questions and he would explain the legal processes in an understandable way. I would not hesitate to recommend him should anyone find themselves in a similar unfortunate position.

Knowledgeable and supportive specialist in Clinical Negligence.
We approached Oliver regarding advice over the Inquest into the death of our son. He was extremely supportive and immediately launched a Clinical Negligence claim, and we were well supported at the Inquest by a Barrister - Jerome Silva, arranged by Oliver. It has since been a long drawn out process, until we finally achieved a successful result. Throughout the whole time Oliver has always made time to explain the various stages we were going through, and honestly giving an opinion as to how the other side would react. Oliver supported by a number of staff and Slee Blackwell itself, has given us 100% of the possible resources, to make sure each challenge was fully addressed. If you are in the sad position of needing Clinical Negligence support, look no further, my whole family would whole heartedly recommend Oliver Thorne.
It was also well worth entering into the conditional fee agreement, we were offered by Slee Blackwell.
