European Union v Bank Mellat C-176/13 and Bank Tejarat v Council of the European Union T-176/12 Represented the largest and the second largest banks in Iran in challenging imposition of economic sanctions by the EU. In 2015 and 2016, the ECJ gave favourable judgments to both banks. (European Union v Bank Mellat C-176/13 and Bank Tejarat v Council of the European Union T-176/12).
